A beautiful summer dress is designed to fit 17 and 18 inch MSD BJD dolls, especially MSD dolls by Kaye Wiggs.
This is a tea-length cinched dress with wide lace skirt, small plain bodice and round yoke worked in a very pretty flower-like lace pattern.
The dress worked flat, in one piece from bottom up, straight, without any shaping. Slight A-line shaping of the skirt is achieved by the decreases within the skirt pattern itself. Narrow yoke creates a low cut neckline. Zipper closure on the back.
The pattern is fully written out but also has a charted skirt and yoke patterns for those who prefer to work lace from charts.
Difficulty level - intermediate.
Yarn used : Patons Lace, 80%acrylic / 10%mohair / 10%wool, 85gr/3oz, 455m/498yds. Approximately half of the skein is needed.
Gauge - 7sts x 10 rs =1" (2.5cm) over stockinette stitch.
Needles - 2.5mm (US#1) for CO edge
2.0mm (US#0) for overall knitting or the size to obtain gauge.
Use any yarn and any size needles that will give you the required gauge, the gauge is very important, or the finished outfit will not fit your doll.
