Knitting pattern to fit American Girl dolls and 18 inch Gotz dolls, fall and winter doll clothes, big jacket and big slouchy beret hat.
Inspired by the colors of the Blue Ridge in autumn, you can of course choose to knit this pattern in any colors you prefer. You could even knit several to match all of her outfits. You'll find that your little girl chooses this outfit time and time again because it looks so good with
so many different things.
This pattern looks more complicated than it is but is in fact for an intermediate to slightly advanced knitter. You need to know basic stitches, k2 together, make 1 stitch, place marker and the magic loop technique for circular needles. There is no explanation in the pattern of these techniques.
The bolero jacket is worked in garter sts, flat but on circular needles. There are almost no seams to sew. The slouchy beret is worked flat on straight needles in a slanted ridge pattern and it is seamed at the back.
Intermediate to Advanced
MATERIALS NEEDED: Amazing by Lion Brand Yarn
5.5sts per 1" in garter stitch
As always, use any yarn and any size needles that will give you the required gauge, the gauge is very important, or the finished outfit will not fit your doll.
